QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR LAUGHTER PROGRAMS AND TRAINING
Program
Description
Our training program, "How To
Create Therapeutic Laughter and Laughter Clubs," prepares you to
be a qualified leader for Laughter Clubs and other therapeutic laughter
activities. Qualified leadership by a Certified Laughter Leader (CLL) is a
requirement for all World Laughter Tour Laughter Clubs. You will understand the
science of laughter, as well as the theory, philosophy,
psychology, and physical aspects of the Laughter Club method. You will be well-versed in
the practices of Good-Hearted Living(tm), which is a significant World
Laughter Tour program for preventing hardening of the attitudes. You will subscribe to
a code of ethics and traditional laughter club values. You will be familiar with group dynamics
in order to manage the group laughter to obtain
effective results. Training underscores the leadership characteristics
of authenticity, vigor, depth, encouragement, motivation, passion, zest, and joy.
You may run your Laughter clubs
for free or for a fee. Opportunities are growing every day for bringing
therapeutic laughter to many situations. Increasingly, Certified Laughter
Leaders may be called on to provide demonstrations, run laughter programs,
and give talks, seminars and workshops on related topics.
Regular training workshops, "How To
Create Therapeutic Laughter and Laughter Clubs" are held throughout
the year at cities all over North America. Training can
be arranged for any place in the world by contacting our offices.
Training is co-sponsored by
Columbus State Community College (Ohio), which has reviewed the curriculum.
Our 2-day workshop has been incorporated
into a 30-hour 3-credt course at the college, "Therapeutic Laughter."
Upon completion of the workshop,
participants are conferred the designation
"Certified Laughter Leader," which is renewed annually. The
title is a trademark of World Laughter Tour. Certification is valid for
one year and is renewable annually.
As a Certified Laughter Leader
(CLL) you are
authorized to organize and register Laughter Clubs and present therapeutic
laughter programs; you may acknowledge your affiliation to World
Laughter Tour, Inc., and use the Laughter Club logo in print material. You
will have membership in an exclusive
online support network for sharing their ideas and
news. World Laughter
Tour, Inc., supports you through the development of continuing
education materials, models for business aspects of Laughter
Clubs, and telephone consultation.
